The Panasonic S5 II is an L-mount Full Frame system camera designed for content producers who need excellent stills and video capabilities. The second generation Panasonic Lumix S5 II system camera has several new features to help you realize your vision. Thanks to the renewed sensor and image processor L2 technology, the S5 II is the first Lumix camera with Phase Hybrid AF for fast and accurate autofocus. Taking full advantage of the 24.2MP sensor and improved processor, this camera records 6K video for up to 30 minutes, while unlimited 4K video recording is also available. For video optimization, the S5 II is also equipped with the new Active IS image stabilization system, which improves image stabilization especially when shooting while walking.

With an updated 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor and an updated image processor with L2 technology, the S5 II sensor features a new Phase Hybrid AF system, a first for Lumix series cameras. It offers 779 phase focus points for significantly improved subject tracking. Combining high sensitivity and wide dynamic range, the sensor offers a useful range of ISO 100-51200, which can be extended to ISO 50-204800 for working in various lighting conditions. Well-equipped for action and fast-moving subjects: the S5 II also enables continuous shooting speeds of up to 9 fps with the mechanical shutter and up to 30 fps with the electronic shutter. In addition, the S5 II utilizes sensor stabilization technology and includes a High Resolution mode that captures and compiles nine separate exposures into a single 96-megapixel raw file or JPEG file. Suitable for static subjects and when working on a tripod, this mode creates a more accurate and color-accurate image than a single image alone could produce, producing a 12000 x 8000 pixel resolution image.

The Panasonic S5 II camera also offers excellent performance for video recording. You can record full-cell 6K30p video in 4:2:0 10-bit color for up to 30 minutes, while unlimited video recording is possible in DCI and UHD 4K60p 4:2:2 10-bit mode. The camera supports 120p video recording for videographers who want to create high-resolution slow-motion video (1080p). V-Log is pre-installed on this camera and captures a balanced, neutral gamma curve and corresponding 14+ aperture dynamics, offering precise control over color data in post-processing and seamless editing with footage shot on VariCam cameras.

Dual Native ISO helps to achieve a balanced combination of low noise and high sensitivity for different lighting conditions. Each pixel is equipped with two separate circuits: The Low ISO circuit provides a base sensitivity of ISO 100 for normal use, ISO 640 when V-Log is enabled, ISO 400 when HLG is enabled, and ISO 200 when Cinelike D2/V2 is enabled; The low-noise circuit provides a base sensitivity of ISO 640 for normal use, ISO 4000 when V-Log is in use, ISO 2500 when HLG is in use, and ISO 1250 when Cinelike D2/V2 is in use.
