Product description
Yale ConnectX Wi-Fi Bridge for smart lock. The Wi-Fi Bridge connects Yale Linus, Yale Doorman V2N* and Yale Doorman L3 smart locks to your home wireless network. Once connected, you can control and operate your smart lock from your phone at any time and from anywhere. You can share permissions from your smartphone, open the lock for a stranger or check if your door is locked even when you're not home.
Yale Linus, Yale Doorman V2N (Access module installed) and Yale Doorman L3 smart locks can be controlled and settings configured by default from home in the vicinity of the locks (within Bluetooth range). The Wifi bridge plugs directly into the socket and allows the smart lock to be connected to the home's wireless Wifi network**. Once connected, the smart lock can be controlled and operated from almost anywhere directly from the Yale Home app. The app allows you to remotely open and lock the lock/door. You will see complete access control and can assign access codes to a separate keypad for the Linus smart lock, for example, or delete codes that have already been created. Receive instant notifications if the lock status changes. Connect the lock to a virtual assistant and control the lock with voice commands. You can also connect your lock to your home automation system and create rules and automation between different devices.
With the Yale ConnectX Wi-Fi Bridge, you can connect up to four Yale locks or other Yale smart devices in your home to your home's wireless indoor network. The maximum distance between the connected device and the bridge is 10 meters, and the maximum distance between the Wi-Fi router and the bridge is 20 meters. Walls and other obstructions reduce the range.
You can use the ConnectX Wi-Fi Bridge with Yale smart locks such as Yale Doorman L3 and Yale Linus, and with Yale Smart Safe and Smart Cabinet Lock. No bridge is required to use Yale Smart Camera and Smart Alarm products. The Yale Linus L2 smart lock can be connected to a wi-fi network without a bridge. However, with the bridge you can extend the coverage of the Linus L2.
You can connect up to four smart locks to one wifi bridge. The Yale Linus includes Apple HomeKit support, and does not require a wifi bridge to work. Control via Apple's Home app is possible from an external network if you have an Apple TV or HomePod speaker that acts as a home hub for the lock. The Yale Home app cannot be accessed from an external network without connecting the lock to the Wifi bridge. Some lock settings can only be changed in the immediate vicinity of the lock.
*Yale Doorman V2N requires a separately purchased Yale Access module to function.
**The Yale ConnectX Wifi Bridge operates on a Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz network and does not operate on a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network.
