Santoku is a Japanese knife design that resembles the classic dumplings in many ways. The difference is a slightly shorter blade and a rounded tip. The Japanese word santoku means "three tasks". The knife is best suited for three tasks: cutting, dicing and chopping. This model has an olive grinding: in other words, the blade of the knife has small indentations. As a result, the raw material does not stick to the blade as easily when cutting.
