Optical smoke alarms detect visible smoke and respond quickly with an audible alarm. Powered by a 9 V battery (batteries included). Contains no radioactive material. Automatically beeps to indicate the need for battery replacement. Smoke detectors should be installed at a minimum rate of 1 per 60m2, preferably in each bedroom or its immediate vicinity. It is also recommended to install smoke alarms in rooms with electrical appliances or equipment.

The optical smoke alarm reacts quickly to smoke generated by a smouldering fire. Always install the smoke alarm on the ceiling: Avoid proximity to interfering electrical equipment such as dimmable lighting and air conditioning vents (recommended distance approx. 0.5 m). Press the test button until you hear an alarm sound.
