Global Blue Tax Free (partial VAT refund)

At Smartech.ee store you can apply for a Global Blue Tax Free (hereinafter “tax-free”) for purchases over 40 euros. VAT on goods in Estonia is 20%. Global Blue offers the following VAT refund method - Global Blue Standard. You can calculate the refund amount for tax-free using the official calculator
Instructions for registering tax-free and getting VAT refund:

We have 2 ways to register tax-free:

1) At the representative office located in Tallinn at Tähesaju tee 11.

In our office, tax-free is issued at the checkout. The employee fills out the tax-free form for the purchased goods according to the data of your passport.

2) By e-mail with sending to the checkpoint of the city of Narva or the Cargobus terminal.

If you want to apply for a tax-free via e-mail, you need to send a copy of your passport and your contact details (home address and telephone number). If you have a Global Blue ID, the above contact details are automatically filled in.

When crossing the border, the representative of the Estonian customs must put a stamp on the Tax Free form on the export of goods from the country. In this case, they may be asked to show the goods. The packaging of the goods must not be broken.

You can get your tax refund on your credit card or at one of the Global Blue locations by presenting a customs-stamped check. Return points in Russia

* To receive a refund on the territory of Russia, you need to have two passports with you (foreign and domestic).

After purchase and paperwork, the goods must be exported outside the EU within 90 days. The deadline for receiving a refund for tax-free is 12 months.
