The Sony FE 50mm F1.2 GM is the brightest autofocus lens in the Sony E-mount (situation 03/2021). The lens contains the latest optical technology, and inside it you can find e.g. three XA (extreme Aspherical) elements that keep the resolution high over the entire image area even at full aperture. Flare has been kept to a minimum e.g. With Nano AR Coating II coating that minimizes internal reflections and ghosting. The lens ’autofocus is implemented with four linear motors and is certainly one of the fastest f / 1.2 lenses to focus. Focusing is very quiet and precise.

For professionals and videographers, lens control is of a high standard: aperture selection can be switched to stepless or portal, and the response of manual focus is linear.
