Reolink Duo 2 LTE battery-powered surveillance camera for outdoor and indoor use, with 4G/LTE connection. The Reolink Duo 2 LTE surveillance camera can be installed almost anywhere. It is sufficient that the installation site only has a working 4G LTE network. So no need for a wireless network or broadband. A camera equipped with two image sensors/lenses with good image quality and a wide field of view. The camera also has intelligent motion detection, two-way audio, a memory card slot and LED lights.

Reolink Duo 2 LTE is an updated version of the earlier Duo 4G camera. The resolution of the camera's sensors has improved and is now no less than 4608 x 1296 (2K+). In addition to the accuracy, the field of view of the camera has also been widened and the diagonal field of view is 180 degrees. Improvements have also been made to usability, and the Duo 2 LTE is now shown as one camera in the application, while the previous model's sensors were both shown as their own cameras.

The Reolink Duo 2 LTE surveillance camera works with a battery and needs a SIM card/connection (4G/LTE) to work. By default, the camera is used with a built-in battery/battery power, but it is also possible to use the camera indoors with mains power (power supply is not supplied). In addition to this, a separately purchased solar panel can be used with the camera, which almost completely eliminates the need for charging during the summer months. The battery life of the camera on a single charge is on average 1-4 weeks depending on the settings, use and temperature.

The special feature of the Reolink Duo 2 LTE camera is two image sensors/lenses. Both of the camera's sensors produce an excellent image with a resolution of 4608 x 1296, which the camera's software combines into one large image. The advantage of the seamlessly connected dual sensor technology is a diagonally wide image of no less than 180°, which contains very little distortion and, in addition, the aspect ratio remains normal.

Thanks to the passive infrared sensor found in the camera, traditional motion detection is based on temperature fluctuations. In addition to the passive infrared sensor, the camera also supports intelligent motion detection. Notifications sent by the camera take on a whole new meaning when the motion detection is configured to react only to vehicles, people or pets. The camera also has night vision with IR lights, which can reach about 30 m in optimal conditions. In addition to traditional night vision, the camera also has eight small LED lights that enable a colorful image in the dark.

When detecting movement, the camera can send a notification and start recording to a separately purchased memory card (max. 128 GB, card purchased separately). The battery-powered Reolink Duo 2 LTE also supports the newer and more advanced H.265 video compression, which enables recordings with better efficiency. The camera also supports two-way audio, i.e. the camera has a speaker and a microphone.

The camera is operated and managed with the easy-to-use Reolink app, which is available for both Android and iOS devices. Finnish can be selected as the language of use of the application.

Reolink Cloud service:

Reolink has launched cloud storage for selected Reolink camera models at the end of April 2022. The user can choose between Basic Plan, Standard Plan and Premier Plan storage options. The Basic Plan can be activated for one Reolink camera and the service is currently free. In the Basic Plan service, 7 days of storage history is stored in the cloud (max. 1 GB). Standard and Premier plans are paid services offering longer recording history, support for more cameras, more storage space and better alarm notifications (depending on the camera).

Note, The camera's battery life is significantly affected by the operating temperature, the strength of the mobile network, the use of the camera, and the number of motion detections. A subscription with a fixed monthly fee and no data cap is recommended. Data usage depends on the specified resolution and bit rate.
