The Joie Fortifi R129 car seat grows with the child, as its head support, tilt angle and side supports are all individually adjustable. According to the latest R129/03 (i-Size) standard, the Joie Fortifi R129 is installed with the car's own seat belt facing the direction of travel, and those under 105 cm tall are supported separately with an integrated 5-point harness. The steel metal frame is covered with very high-quality Deluxe seat cushions, the cover of which can be removed and washed in the machine if necessary.

The child is placed in the seat, after which the headrest and harness can be adjusted with one hand using the GrowTogether™ headrest+harness combination. The car seat itself is easily attached to the car with clear color-coded grommets. When the child grows up, the harness can be changed out and the seat can be used as a safety belt seat. Height adjustment from the seat is enough for up to 9 settings, and in addition to this, the outward-opening AutoAdjust™ side supports expand the seat space in the other direction as well. So it doesn't matter if the child wears thicker overalls in the winter, because the seat adapts to the passenger. In addition, it is possible to tilt the sitting position easily with one hand to up to 4 different angles.

The removable cover of the safety seat can be washed in the washing machine (delicate wash at 30 degrees, no tumble drying).

The Joie Fortifi R129 car seat is classified in the seat group 76–145 cm, and is suitable for use up to about 12 years of age.

*The aim of the I-SIZE R129 standard is to improve the safety of children on car journeys and to reduce the incorrect installation of seats. In the R129 standard, crash tests are performed with a test dummy equipped with 32 sensors instead of the traditional 4 sensors, and side impact in particular has been included as part of the acceptable marking.
