The lens' optical design features one Super UD element, three regular UD elements and three aspherical elements to reduce chromatic aberration and distortion throughout the zoom range while providing consistent edge-to-edge sharpness and illumination. Completing the image quality requirements is a fast and accurate autofocus system that offers fast, near-silent autofocus performance with full manual focus.
