SportLife Nutrition® EAA contains all the essential amino acids in an optimal ratio. These amino acids cannot be produced by the body, but must be obtained from food. Addition of EAA amino acids activates protein synthesis and reduces muscle breakdown. L-alanine and L-glycine have also been added to enhance sugar remodeling, cell membrane construction, and muscle fluid retention. All amino acids are in free form, so they are absorbed very efficiently and raise amino acid levels quickly. This rapid increase is a crucial factor in activating protein synthesis, not so much the number of amino acids.
