The NTS-2 kit is compact and easy to assemble, but don't let its size fool you – the device is packed with the synthesizer's most important tools for analytics. The NTS-2 is an oscilloscope, tuner, FFT and spectrum analyzer that is as accurate and intuitive as it is highly practical. By connecting its two stereo inputs, two passive stereo THRU/OUT connections and two outputs to your synthesizer rig or modular system, it is possible to use the device's two waveform generators as additional oscillators or LFOs. The NTS-2 is the ideal all-in-one tool for the extension of any synth collection or modular, from beginner to synth master. No pistons are needed for assembly.

With the power of two 3.5 mm stereo inputs, it is possible to monitor up to four waveforms at the same time with the help of suitable Y-cables (purchased separately). Several different display modes are available, and in addition, the knobs are different colors, which makes it easier to distinguish between different sources compared to the old monochrome oscilloscopes. The operating system is clear and easy to use, and the 240 x 320 pixel color LCD is a pleasure for the eyes. For a closer look at the signal, the NTS-2 has an FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) mode with a real-time spectrum analyzer. These nifty tools have been out of reach for musicians without expensive hardware or a computer. Now they go on the bottom of the pocket!

The NTS-2 is much more than just an oscilloscope. Its versatile signal generator has two oscillators with their own outputs, which can be used both as additional oscillators and for sending LFOs or a clock. Both oscillators have many different waveforms: sine, edge, triangle, sawtooth, pulse and noise, whose shape, frequency and phase can be flexibly changed for many different purposes.

These signals can be used with audio frequencies as well as control voltage sources and can be defined to cycle or act as individual impulses. That means they can be used as LFOs, envelopes, triggers and control voltage generators in addition to sound sources. By connecting the NTS-2 to any patchable synthesizer, it gives significant additional features to each machine.
